Ariel Nuhardi

Ariel Nurhadi is a classical guitarist who has garnered extensive experience on the concert stage over the last decade. He has given solo performances at the Hughes Music Festival, Wesley Arts Centre, and the National Gallery of Australia, as well as in masterclasses with renowned figures such as Paul O’dette (America), Ricardo Gallen (Spain), Carlo Barone (Italy) and Karin Schaupp Ariel will soon be releasing his first fullelength solo album featuring a selection of works originally commissioned, edited and performed by the legendary Andrés Segovia (189371987)

Andrew Blanch

Andrew Blanch is recognised as “one of the country’s leading young classical guitarists” (Melbourne Guitar Foundation). Andrew has won prizes in ten music competitions nationally and internationally including First Prize at the Melbourne International Guitar Competition and his debut solo CD Spanish Guitar Music was released last year to international acclaim, “This is one of the best debut albums I have ever heard.” (Soundboard Magazine). Andrew has a Bachelor of Music with first—class honours from the Australian National University and currently lives in Sydney.

Carlos Perez

Carlos Alberto Perez is a classically trained and award winner Spanish guitarist, he has performed in numerous countries around the world. Carlos has released 5 Cds, created music for theatre and dance productions, and held leading positions in a number of instrumental formations and orchestras. His repertoire extends from classical and Spanish to contemporary styles such us Latin, pop, etc.

Eric Cathan

Eric Cathan pursued his music studies in France, at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, with Rafael Andia, graduating in performance and teaching. He has performed with Sydney Symphony Orchestra flautist Michelle Hughes, toured Australia as part of the Alhambra Guitar Quartet (2008) with Rafael Andia, Giuseppe Zangari and Claire Sananikone. In 1990, he co—founded the Sydney Classical Guitar Society, the Central Coast Guitar Festival in 2006. He has taught at Newcastle University, University of NSW and the Gosford Conservatorium.
He is the Founder and Director of Guitar Passion.

Josinaldo Costa

Brazilian guitarist Josinaldo Costa is a recipient of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the prestigious Eastman School of Music, with previous studies at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Brazil) and at the University of Akron, where he studied with Nicholas Goluses, Mauro Maibrada and Stephen Aron, respectively. During his undergraduate studies, he performed as a soloist with the Recife Symphony Orchestra, the Pernambuco Youth Orchestra, and was further awarded a FIPSE/CAPES scholarship to study at East Carolina University with Dr. Elliot Frank.

Appearing as a guest chamber and solo performer in concert series such as the Virtuosi na Serra, ViolaoPE, AV-Rio (Brazil), Guitar Fort Worth, The Ritsos Project (Greece), Karlovac Summer Guitar Festival (Croatia) and in historical halls such as the Santa Isabel Theatre (Brazil), he is also a featured guest artist and teacher in institutions such as the Texas Wesleyan University, University of Alaska – Anchorage, Western Carolina University, Vanguard University and Oklahoma City University. Josinaldo is a first prize winner of the Stroud Classical Guitar Competition and the recipient of the Performance Certificate distinction from the Eastman School. Further education was taken in the highly competitive class of Maestro Oscar Ghiglia at the historical Accademia Chigiana (Siena, Italy) and in the MusicAlp Festival (Tignes, France) in the class of renowned teacher Judicaël Perroy. An enthusiastic teacher, Josinaldo was a teaching fellow during his stay in Akron and at the Eastman School of Music, where he also taught students of all levels at the Eastman Community Music School. For four years, he was the Director of the Servite High School Guitar Program. During his tenure, Servite was awarded two consecutive prizes in the pre-college Ensemble Showcase competition. His research in performance practice of the 18th and 19th centuries has a focus in the adaptation of the music of J.S. Bach to the classical guitar, and he also performs on the baroque guitar and romantic (19th cent.) guitar.

Also involved in arts administration and entrepreneurship, Josinaldo took part in the organization of The Ritsos Project in Greece (in collaboration with composer/pianist Aristea Mellos) and the Bihac International Guitar Workshop in Bosnia and Herzegovina (in collaboration with guitarist Armin Abdihodzic).

Josinaldo is a Contributing Editor for the Guitar Foundation of America Soundboard magazine and is currently based in Sydney – Australia.
